Case Study: Helping Primary and Higher Educational Institutes Thrive With Beni From KindWorks

Stories

Educational institutions of all sizes are struggling. Students and educators are navigating rising demands and shifting expectations. Recent data from UNESCO highlights the urgency: a significant share of higher education students worldwide are experiencing mental health challenges and are calling on institutions to provide greater emotional support. And the impact reaches both students, educators, administrators, and the entire educational community at all levels.
In this context, Kindness is not just a compassionate response—it is a strategic imperative for shaping healthier educational cultures and, ultimately, better workplaces.

Case Study 1: Dreams Kindergarten

Dreams Kindergarten brought Beni by KindWorks to their teachers and administrators with the goal of strengthening a happier and healthier workplace at the school. Dreams recognized that the practice of Kindness offered a clear and practical path toward building a more connected, engaged, and resilient workplace.

Dreams Kindergarten Results:

  • Commitment levels 30 times higher than the industry average, sustained even after 8 months of interactions.
  • A remarkable increase in feelings of connection (48%) and positive impact (37%) at work.
  • Ongoing feedback and connection with users, enabling increasingly personalized interactions.

Case Study 2: Universidad de los Andes

Universidad de los Andes was looking to increase the sense of connection between teachers and students and foster a more joyful and healthy learning environment. They recognized how the practice of Kindness can foster deeper human connections, strengthen collaboration, and nurture a greater sense of purpose in both learning and professional environments.

Universidad de los Andes Results:

  • Nearly 470 Acts of Kindness completed across two separate groups, with 88% of them receiving positive ratings.
  • A 130% increase in the number of Acts of Kindness completed between the second and third month of the program.
  • Participants report feeling happier and more impactful as part of their educational experience.

An internal team at Universidad de los Andes, led by psychologist Diana María Agudelo Vélez, conducted an independent analysis aimed at establishing indicators of acceptability and usability of the KindWorks platform among a group of students. Although the sample size (the number of users who participated in the surveys) was small and did not allow for statistically significant differences to be identified, the analysis showed an increase in the surveyed dimensions related to user well-being.

These programs demonstrate a powerful truth: kindness, when practiced consistently and intentionally, transforms people and cultures. From kindergartens to universities, building foundations of human connection, empathy, and Kindness today equips the next generation with the emotional tools they’ll need tomorrow—as professionals, leaders, and teammates. In doing so, we aren’t just improving our educational institutions; we’re shaping the future of work itself, one act of kindness at a time.
